Well I think I talked myself out of the Zero Edge pool so I am wondering if anyone knows of a skimmer that is designed to keep the water level higher in the pool?

Paul,

Why would you want to do that???

The higher the water is at the skimmer's mouth, the less skimming action there is.. The lower the water, the better the skimmers work, but then you run the chance of running out of water, so keeping the water in the middle of the skimmer's mouth is a good compromise.

Thanks,

Jim R.

I think you missed the point of my question.

Skimmer can keep the water level at any height. It all depends on the positioning of the skimmer mouth.

Give us a pic or drawing of what you need.

I wanted to do a zero edge style pool because I like the look of the high water level. So I am trying to figure out how to achieve something similar but with skimmers. Something like this that can be placed higher up but for a concrete pool.1708661598064.jpeg

That thin skimmer does the same thing as a regular skimmer, it just has a smaller window of water level acceptability. You’ll have to be more careful maintaining the minimum water level so the pump doesn’t run dry by adding water way more often.

I think it is very impractical. Especially in a high evaporation area like you have in Vegas.
