Screaming secondary pump, Arctic Spa

Found that my #2 pump had blown a fuse, replaced the fuse and the pump was very loud, obviously bearings are shot.
Its a 56 frame 3hp single speed.
Arctic Spa pump is $460, I see similar pumps for $260, whats the difference?

I'm not sure, but can you post links so other people can help you better? One to the Artic Spa pump and one or two to similar ones you're interested would probably be very helpful.

Agreed. I can get other pumps for $12.50, but they won't work in a hot tub. What do you have and what are you wanting to get?

I say if it's only bearings do an RR as bearings are cheap.

Agreed. But sometimes there is nobody in the area and the OP clearly does not know how or he wouldn't be shopping new.

Thanks for the replys, I found an exact replacement pump and wet end for less than half the Arctic Spa price.
Once I replace it I'll pull the old one apart to see how to replace the bearings, any tips appreciated.
All 3 pumps on this tub have been flooded a few times due to hoses letting go from their fittings and filling the enclosed base with water tripping the breaker.
The base drains slowly, To get them running again I would blow compressed air through them to dry them out, worked every time but it took a toll on the bearings.

That will kill them over time. A makeshift water alert system is handy for this issue
