Put in service mode and pump panel still on “display not active”

The pump should revert to pump panel control in Service Mode. Check that it is still in ET control "Display Not Active" when in Service Mode.

Sounds great, but keep in mind if you turn on a circuit without a schedule, it will only run as long at the egg-timer allows.

The Default egg timer is 12 hours... This means that unless you change the egg-timer the pump will shut of in 12 hours.

I suggest, as a test, you set up your Pool Circuit on a schedule of 7am until 7am.. This will run the Pool Circuit for 24/7.

Or your can set up Pool with the heater, as you have it now, from 7 am until 7 pm and the Pool without the heater from 7 pm until 7 am.. Either way should work..

I would leave High Speed out of the equation for now.

I find that programming works much better for me when I use my PC.. You get screens like this..

Marty caught something that I missed.. When you go into the Service mode, the pump should still get AC power, but the pump's display should NOT say "Display not active". The display should then have a regular screen that allows you to run the pump manually from the pump's control panel.. Kind of the whole reason for a Service Mode..

Yes I just saw that as well. I’ll put it into service and recheck and report back. Nothing is ever simple it would seem!

I guess I had not waited long enough for the pump to switch over. I tried again, out in service mode and it allows me to run the pump directly on the pump panel. Sweet!!

Not sure what to make of this so not going too get excited yet: Checked the app this evening: Pump was off. BUT no power outage alert or communication lost alert. It appears it went off around 7:10pm. Schedule is running 7am to 7am.
I select pool from the pump menu and it came back on. I then saw an alert: communication lost but it went away. I’ll continue to monitor and see if anything else develops.

You are causing half of your problems yourself.. When you push the "Pool" icon to turn the pump back on, it starts the egg-timer and can screw up the schedule.. Depending on when you do it, it might take the system 24 hours to catch up.

Try running 8 am until 8 am... And see what happens.. It should not shut off..

Show me your egg-timer list.

One step at a time.. we will eventually get there..

Hey Jim,
Understood, so then how do I turn the pump back on when I notice it is off?

I’ve adjusted the schedule to 8am to 8 am as you suggested. When I left the screen to adjust the schedule I then had a alert related to the chlorinator. It disappeared a few minutes later. The pump speed has been constant.

If you manually turn on the Lights circuit they will run for 4 hours and 30 minutes and then shut off.

I'm not saying never use the manual button, I am saying that if we are trying to troubleshoot something it confuses things.

Sounds good re the egg timers. I use them for the lights and spa so I don’t have to worry about them.

So it happened again this am. Around 8:10am the pump shut off. No alerts though. Had been running the schedule since last night 8am-8am.

So I’ll turn on at the panel and see?

It looks like you’re probably right. I restarted the pump this am at the panel. It would seem it then shut off about 12 hrs later.
This is despite the schedule set 8am-8am.
So set the egg timer to “don’t shut off” or set 2 schedules that change at 12 hrs and see what happens?
So close!

I'd be patient and see if the pump starts on its own at 8 am, and will run 24/7, or if it shuts off after 12 hours..

I'd try the egg-timer if the pump will not run 24/7 on its own.

Hey hey!!
So going on 48hrs without any alerts or shut downs!
I had shut off the pump before bed as you had suggested a few nights ago, it came back on in its own, but hasn’t shut off.
I’m running on a 7:30am-7:30am daily schedule with one pump speed. All seems good!
So any thoughts on why this had not really been an issue prior to the end of last year and worse this season? The wiring was unchanged until now.
I’ll be sending an email to my installer outlining the issues and frustrations.

At this point I don’t think I really need any other schedules but I’ll add one for the pool lights and adjust the spa/jet circuits as discussed.
