I am new to Salt Water Pools I just opened my inground pool for the first time. Do I leave the PureChlor on whenever my filter is on? And what is the best way to test Salt Water?

The key to using any SWG is water temp. Many of them start to shut down when the water temp is about 55 or below. During that time, we treat our salt pools as non-salt pools and use liquid chlorine. Once the water warms up, turn it on and balance the FC/CYA as noted on the FC/CYA Levels. The amount of time an SWG is on is based on how much free chlorine you need to produce. Water must always be flowing though the cell when it's on. An ideal salt test kit is the Taylor K-1766. The links below should give you more info.
