Pump motor cover

I'm curious what you guys think about adding an aftermarket cover to my recently replaced Hayward super pump.

It would be something similar to this

Do you guys think that this is a good idea? The pump appears to me to be well protected from weather without any additional protection and my last pump lasted almost twenty years with no additional cover. It also occurs to me that this cover will interfere with ventilation and make the motor run hotter.

Are these popular with the group?

Probably won't do any harm as it looks like there's plent of room for air circulation. Don't know if it will do any good, though.

Unlikely to make a difference in pump life. But if you like to spend money on gadgets go for it. Let us know how it worked in 20 years.
