Pump location?

The polycarb came from the local hardware (bunnings) shop. Its a brand called laserlite. Its very tough, lets just the right amount of of light in, but also blocks UV which, with the intense summers nowdays is a must as the equipment seems to get damaged by UV just as much as the other elements (turns everything plastic brittle and colourless). With our set up including electronic pressure gauges for automatic backwash, jandy valves, the intelliflo pump, salt water chlorinator and a FPGA based controller for it all, it was pretty important to protect it. The whole lot is built on a small slab surrounded by aglines/french drains. Even on heavy rainy days, its super dry in there.

May I suggest that you investigate using google "sketchup"? I did this *to scale* in less than two hours from installing the program with no experience.

Lots of very nice tutorials on youtube....

*edit* AND ITS FREE!

I agree - thats a great idea. This way you can plan out the pad you want to build. If i hadnt have done it this way also, I dont think I would have got the result I did. Its also a great reference for the future.

My pump pad schematic and layout was done in an electrical CAD package. Google sketch is good, but I found it tricky to get scale.

This is my schematic

And the blueprint of the pad.
