John - You may know this already, but the water table in our area is typically quite high. If they decide to do a total drain, I'd imagine they would need to remove the hydrostatic plugs (if it's an A&S build they should have them) to keep the pressure off the shell. They should know this but worth mentioning.The advice from a pool service company is if you can see the bottom of the pool, at all, then it can be brought back to life with chemicals, etc. If not, then drain and acid wash is strongly encouraged. Thoughts? The water is absolutely gross looking and you can't see more than 2" its so dense and green.
On a separate note, the official beginning starts tomorrow with the demo of the interior. Kitchen, bath rooms, basement drop ceiling, etc., will all be taken out.
