They sure got catchy names for their products. I guess they have to work the appetites of some customers/suckers till they drop the wallet. My husband is wondering if there is any use for these?
I had to add water after vacuuming to waste so now it's actually 30Are u still aiming for 16fc ? If your cya showed anywhere past 30 u call it 40.![]()
Hard to keep track of the days on summer break, lol.Eventhough you're in slam and doing what ya doing I'd like to see an OCLT because with a 30 CYA the uv ain't your best friend. You may need to bump to 40 CYA just to shield the uv some more. Don't get to far ahead of yourself cuz you're already programed on the hand written note dated for tomorrow.![]()
I've read this several times and I'm still not sure what you're saying.Sometimes you pass and need to raise the CYA but knowing there is no algae blooming takes some of the pressure off if it takes a week to figure out.
The pump runs 24/7Make sure after dark to bring the water up to slam by checking it 15 minutes after the chlorine was poured in. You basically want to be positive you've achieved the slam level. Then in the very early morning at the crack of dawn before the sun has any chance to hit the pool you'd grab a sample after knowing the pump ran for 30 minutes to see the FC. That will tell you a lot more where the water is heading.
So you added at 11:15 AM and verified it was actually an 8 ? Sometimes folks just assume that adding XX chlorine will get them to YY FC. It doesn’t always do what it was supposed to and that can lead to false ‘losses’.All the FC numbers are from my testing, not from pool math. And it's new bleach.
Got it.So you added at 11:15 AM and verified it was actually an 8 ? Sometimes folks just assume that adding XX chlorine will get them to YY FC. It doesn’t always do what it was supposed to and that can lead to false ‘losses’.
When you suspect something isn’t right, like the FC loss. You do the OCLT to see if it’s algae. If it isn’t algae it buys you time to figure out what happened. Like if low CYA was to blame for the FC loss. It’s not an emergency once we know there is no algae. If you fail the OCLT you SLAM right there to keep the upper hand.
