A suggestion for the recommended chemical addition section -

suggestions are made in terms of weight for most chemicals (CH, salt, dry CYA for example). It would be helpful to have easy weight to volume conversion. As is, I end up going to aqua-calc website for volume conversions frequently.

Oh oops thought it did both last time but looks like my memory was off. Found a way to get last couple days of chemicals on the log page but not in csv format either.

I'm curious too now. @Leebo should know. Is what PoolStored is asking about possible or was that in the list to look into already?

As is exporting chemicals to a .CSV isn’t available. It’s on a list for future consideration , but not an option now. That said, what are you trying to learn from this export? Would the Summary feature assist in answering these questions??

The problem with weight to volume is you can estimate it, but dry products come in different sizes which means the same volume of one product is a different amount of the same volume of another product.

I find a cheap kitchen scale works great for dry pool chemicals.

At this time the only payment methods we support are Google Play or the Apple Store. In the future we may attempt to handle payments on our own……but that’s a long way off. So no, you must have an active App Store account.

Unlike iOS Android does allow users to load Apps from third parties. It is plausible a user can avoid the major App stores all together, but it does bring some great risks and headaches.

There are other stores that will run on Android and it's variants. Also, directly installing the APK is an option for people who have some technical knowledge and ability.

Thanks for your response. I would suggest you investigate other payment methods as more people are going to opt out of the iOS and Google App stores as they become more surveillance oriented. I know this requires some effort for you but it might be worth it in the long run. Thanks again for your response.

- Graphing...I'd love to be able to click and see a historical graph / trend for a particular test result

im sorry but what other payment methods are you guys talking about. if you load an app on a iPhone you got to pay for it through the apple store. no way around it right? so isn't it the same for android? i don't use android but. i can see other payments being required if it's a program run on a computer or something like photoshop.

It depends. I used to have Android, now I have an iPhone. Currently Apple requires payment via their store, but based on a lawsuit that is going to change soon I believe. There's also ways around it, depending on the application. For example, I have YouTube premium. This runs $11.99/month if you sign up on an Android device or via a computer, but $15.99/month if you sign up via the iPhone app where the payment goes through Apple's app store. So I simply signed up via a computer and signed into my Google account on the iPhone app. Bingo. Now the payment is charged via Google Pay at $11.99/month.

I guess really the answer is no, you don't have to have payment go through the store if you're talking about upgrades and not just a cost to buy an app up front.

I totally never knew that about YouTube. That’s nuts. And I consider myself very tech savvy. You learn something everyday. I guess something like YouTube I always view as something you sign up for on YouTube itself on a computer. Kinda like when I signed up for pandora or Spotify.

Suggestion - add a heating cost calculator. The app already knows your volume of water. You would just need to add the Natural Gas/Propane price and the desired temperature raise. Of course, this is for gas heaters, maybe you could do something similar for other types of heaters.

I'd say the best it could do is calculate how much energy a gas or heat pump run would use but it would only give a very rough estimate of temperature rise because there are many other factors that dictate pool water temperature that would vary greatly between pool types and ambient atmospheric conditions. Might be ok to add the the "Effects" section. Later on, with addition of automation tracking, it could be added to the list of Log items
