Pool Heater-should I buy it?

Does anybody have one of these heaters? Guy selling it knows nothing about it but was told it was only used for 1 season. Im not sure what an
asking price should be.

Only used for one season then left outside for how long? I have the Raypak version, installed last year and it still looks new. If that's been outdoors for a while then it's a pig in a poke.

There should be a manufacture date on it or if anything grab the SN and see if Rheem can tell you how old it is.

"Only used for 1 season?" Certainly looks older. Rheem equipment usually has the manufacturing date on the plate but equipment can be in the distribution network for up to a year before it is sold. In any event, it sounds suspicious. I'd avoid it.
