Pool filter algae on top and maybe center?

What’s the best way to get this remove this off my filter
The pool is a black colored pool so it’s hard to tell if I have algae
The chlorine is always at the correct level and the cc is zero
So it doesn’t appear to be fighting anything
Any ideas?

I found a hose wand that's basically a pipe with a 90 degree bendable end in the Garden section at Lowes a while back. It was designed for hanging flowerpots so you didn't have to reach up there, but it gets the inside of the filter GREAT.

Basically one of these without the fat head.
