I have an in ground pool with a tarp-like cover. Now that the snow has melted I’ve noticed a bunch of holes and tears in the cover. When i attempted to pump the water off of the cover i wound up pumping pool water out as well. The only idea i had so far was to switch from water bags to bungee cords in order to try and get the cover as tight as can be. Before i pump water out of the pool by accident i was wondering if anyone else had a better idea.
Thank you

Forget about the pumping and just pull the cover off when you are ready to open the pool.

It wouldn’t hurt to SLAM the above water before it gets dumped into the pool water. You will be FC-ing it either way, might as well get a head start.
