Curious, if anyone has installed their own pool and what was used as the pool base besides pool crete. I am based in Minnesota so it needs to stand up to the freezing weather. This is under the vinyl liner.
We did a concrete and sand mix. Had a local company deliver it and they dumped right into the pool to be spread. No regrets except wish it was spread out smoother. There was a storm rolling in so we were very rushed and it looks a bit like the surface of the moon when the lights are on.
