Hello,

We need to replace our liner and before bringing someone in to do this work, we removed the old liner so we could see how the pool base looked and if any work needed to be done. We've noticed that there are a number of cracks in the concrete base as seen in the following short video:

Given those cracks, we're wondering what the next steps would be and who we should be calling to assess/fix the issue. There is also a concern that the pool has dropped towards the deep end (by 1" or so) since the previous pool liner was installed 12 years ago so we're not sure if this would be related to the cracks we're seeing.

The pool was installed by the previous owner so we're guessing it would have been built around the 2000-2005 time frame.

Is there evidence of rebar in the concrete? If not, theres probably not much you can do except to fix any leaks ASAP as water getting in the ground compromises the soil and lets the concrete shift/sink.

Are you doing the install yourself? Hydraulic cement can fix those cracks and low spots. Most pool companies offer bottom work for an extra price.
I was planning on getting someone to do this as this is one of those DIY items I've not handled before and the family is pressing for time. If hydraulic cement is the way to go, is this a job best handled by a pool company or by a specific trade company?
