Pentair Warrior SE vs. Dolphin S200

That sounds like what she said....that it was already done. Thats good to know because I wasn't sure.
Just looking at their website today and their comparison chart PDF: Robot Comparison Chart
It seems that the SI comes with the "rough pre filter" which, I believe, is the upgrade mentioned by others.

Just opened my pool and my polaris 360, which I inherited from the previous owner a couple of years ago, just crapped the bed. That thing has been a pain for me ever since I've owned the pool so I think I've decided to just buy a robot. Let me know how the SI works for you because I might buy it from Marina this week. BTW, I'm in MD so it's also excellent that you received it in NJ in a just a few days.

I switched form a 360 to the warrior SE and love it. Picks up a LOT more stuff then the polaris ever did on it's best days. My profile picture is the SE climbing the wall..Drives my dog nuts :)
My SE has the fine and spring filters so I don't think the SI is different in that respect, the SI has Bluetooth so you can guide it..Most of the folks who bought it said they aren't sure it was worth the extra $50

Mine was shipped out and to me in two days from Marina Pools. It has two sets of filters. One is the pleated type and the other is a fine screen material. I have been getting more crud with the pleated. Thefilters are very simple to switch out, but you have to insert them in the correct order (and reverse order to remove). They are numbered, as is the basket.

Margaret is working on a small issue for me. The active brush was crunched up in the box and hasn't regained it’s shape as expected. I'm very pleased with their customer service to date. The SE is doing an amazing job cleaning the pool. Filter basket is easy to clean. My rolling dock cart is working perfectly to get it back and forth. Very happy so far.

Heads up on the rebate! Pentair will NOT allow the rebate if it is under the specified purchase amount on their rebate form. The SE has to be $849. I had several emails with one of their Marketing Coordinators who stated that it cannot be honored for less or changed in their system. So, congrats to anyone who managed to get it. I don't appear to be in that club! Aggravating that they run a promo/rebate and allow some to get it and not others.

Sorry about the rebate :( Maybe with business being slow due to COVAD they decided stop doing it.

Just received my Warrior SE from Margaret at Marina pools. Got it within 2 days after I ordered it. Awesome customer service and highly recommended. Cant wait to try it out. My pool is supposed to open on Friday. I sent in for the rebate through Pentair's website. Haven't heard anything back. Fingers crossed!

I called Margaret yesterday. She recommended either the warrior se or si since it is the best price without multiple bells and whistles. Seems the difference between the two is that the si has remote capabilities with blue tooth. Provides an opportunity to try and drive it. Plus, a few small differences in filters and programmable cleaning cycles.

I did a Vitamin C treatment on mine so Chlorine was zero. I did add 1 bag of CalHyp shock ( all I had left ) but it was still zero...But since the water was cold I decided to see what the Edghe 40 would do after 24 hours of sitting..It took my FC from 0 ( and still Vit C ) to 8 in about 16 hours set to super chlorinate. I was actually surprised and thought it would take a couple days

Now I am running it on 2/8 power and it seems to be
Yah, I'm sending mine in too.....just in case they feel generous!

Not sure if it helped but I told them in an email I bought the Pentair over the Dolphin due to the rebate and didn't want to have to return it. I am not in retail so don't understand why they care about price unless they make special deals with resellers?
If they decline the rebate make sure they get the warranty stuff registered :)

I am amazed at this robot more and more every day..Several times I pull it up to empty the basket it thinking nothing will be in it and it's 1/2 full of leaves and the filters are covered in pollen!
Same here. Just received my S200 from Marina yesterday and ran her through 2 cycles. Amazed at what that robot pulled out of the pool. I only used to see debris like that when I pulled apart my DE filter semi-annually to clean the grids!

The rough filter still picks up a lot of fine debris; not sure if I will really need to use the pleated ones. Perhaps after our summer dust storms.

So far the SI is nothing short of miraculous! I love it!! Honestly, I didn't even read the instructions yet, I just dropped it in the pool plugged it in and pressed start. I ran it 2 times and my pool was almost spotless. I did get most of the leaves out beforehand but not all. My kids enjoyed watching it climb the wall and making bets on whether it worlds go back to get the leaves it skipped over (it eventually did). It did get stuck on my drain covers but I was too impatient to see if it could get off. It even did my sundeck, which is about 12 inches of water! I would definitely recommend!

I assume no issues with running it in colder pool water this time of year?

Mine gets hung up on the main drain cover for a few minutes but does this pivot maneuver and frees itself eventually. Pool is pristine. It does climb the stairs and then thinks it’s at the tile line and churns away on the
edge of the top step. Rises like the Creature from the Black Lagoon! Then it slinks back into the depths. Highly entertaining (but these days it doesn’t take much!).

Awesome to hear! Thanks for the update. I decided not to wait and ordered mine yesterday for arrival on Saturday which is good because pool really needs cleaned. What's really going to be nice is being able to drop it in the spa and run it in there, even controlling it with the app. It was an absolute pain to clean that portion of my pool with the Polaris.

Another thank you for your guidance and confidence in learning how to maintain our pool. Got my SE from Margaret on Monday. Pool water water is noticeably cleaner than the once a week vacuuming by pool service (canceled for a $185/month savings). Think a lot of it is the SE filtering the water in addition to picking stuff up.

You will pay for the Robot in 4 months..Plus getting a daily cleaning vs weekly.
I am used to brushing and adding chlorine every few days and now with a Robot and a SWG not much to do. Still trying to break the habit of testing chlorine every day or two :)
