Pentair Intelliflo VSP Clamp

I'm picking up a few spare parts to have on hand for emergencies. Does the clamp ring on a Intelliflo VSP motor ever break, warp or crack requiring a replacement? Thanks.

I doubt they fail in normal use.. I have thee IntelliFlo pumps that are all about 10 years old and they all have their original parts..

Freeze damage is the main thing that would damage the lid.

Yes, I was referring to part number 1, the clamp that holds the lid on.
