My pool (intellichem based system) reads 4 degrees under what it actually is. My wife likes the pool heated to "87" but just found out that's really 91. Ok we have solar, and I've been married 30+ years so I'm not going to win that argument.
However the real issue is that we want the spa heated as hot as it will go, so we heat it to 104, however the pool reports that as 100 so it keeps asking for heat, but then I think the pentair heater shuts down because it has an internal sensor that won't go that high so the gas keeps short cycling. I guess we could set it to 100 but I'd rather actually have it be right.
I cannot for the life of my find a setting in the intellichem unit to calibrate the water temp to a known measurement. We have a quality digital thermometer so I'm confident about it.
Is this doable and if not, do I need to replace hardware? I've read that there is a temperature sensor in my SWG. There also is a wired unit in the ph/ORP unit that I think may be a temp sensor. I unscrewed it and it has what looks like a flat piece of blue membrane underneath.
Appreciate any thoughts.
