Opening my pool and want to do it real nice this time

This happens as moisture makes its way into the bottle.
So long as it still turns pink you’re good 👍🏻
If you have one of those little desiccant packs you can throw one in your kit with the container. Some people put both in a plastic bag or small container.
To prevent as much moisture as possible make sure your hands & the scooper are dry when using it & keep it tightly closed as much as possible.

So you didn't buy Nate's.

(He's been including a little desiccant pack inside to absorb moisture, because his customer service is off the charts. 😁)

I had mine in a zip lock with more desiccant packs and I moved it to a small container (1/3 cup ?) that I found at Ikea. Between the inside desiccant pack and the extras in the container, the powder is still like sugar.

No this is his bottle. I took the dessicant out for the picture 😊

Sept 2. Forecast is for 90 degrees sunday and monday. Keeping pool open a bit longer. Family coming over. Grandson and all. BBQ time again. Chemicals still stable. I just have a question. A friend told me that his pool guy said to leave filter on during the day and turn off at night because having the filter run during daytime mixes the chlorine while filter is on and lowers the amount that is broken down by the sun?? Any ideas about that recommendation?? Thank u all and enjoy the weekend 😊

Anytime anyone off forum tells you something pool related, smile and be polite, and let it go straight out the other ear. :)

The chlorine (and all the chemicals) need about 15 mins to mix. Twice a day is plenty. Their reasoning is about as silly as thinking you'll get less sunburn by moving around quickly. (While still outside all day without sunblock on).

Enjoy your party !!!

I mean. I'll admit..... a bunch of internet strangers telling you that you needed to wake up at 5 AM to test the chlorine level, probably seemed a wee bit weird. :laughblue:

But we're super glad you gave us a chance anyway.

Pool looks great you should be proud! You have learned a lot since what I read at the start of this post. Also that is beautiful fence!
