Hi guys, now that i started to self maintain my pool in between opening/closing i wonder if it can be worth it to do myself also the opening/closing rather than asking a pool company.
I am not a very handy person and would like to know if any of you started to do it yourself and can share experiences and suggestions. Question would be if it is worth it to spend 4/500 each and save headaches or actually fairly simple to learn. Thanks

Depends how complex your pool is.

It may be worthwhile to use a pool service to close your pool and watch carefully what is done. Then you can evaluate if you can handle it.

+1. Tip them $20 each when they show up. Not after the work, before it. Explain you need to learn and will be taking lots of pics.

In the spring, go through and perform the steps in the pics in reverse for a free opening. Use that savings to purchase a cyclone blower.

Next fall, your 1st rodeo kinda already had 2 practice runs and won't be as scary.
