Been on customer support with inyopools for two days going over everything.
The most I've had it put out so far is .4 fc per hour.
They are having me run it for 24 hours straight.
I guess I twiddle by thumbs till tomorrow.

Flappy,

My "guess" is that about 75% of bad cell complaints are not the salt cell at all.

I suspect that makes them want to make sure before authorizing a return.

Can you maintain your FC by using Liquid Chlorine?

What is your CYA level?

Thanks,

Jim R.

Upgraded to a support ticket.
Now they want to know the
  • Phosphate level
Can I get this checked at the pool store or do I need to order a Taylor kit?
Too funny. For a 1 time check, the pool store should suffice, but phosphate level won’t help diagnose a SWCG issue. There is a Taylor kit for phosphates if you decide that you want to manage them. I do, but it’s not a practice that is recommended on TFP.

In order to determine what’s going on with your chlorine levels, you should try an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test (OCLT). Then, you’ll know if you have an algae problem that is consuming your chlorine.

Too funny
Sadly it's yet another tool to get out of that warranty that everyone is always so in love with at purchase time. (From anywhere/anything) When push comes to shove, the consumer usually gets shoved.

My SWG is eating my Taylor regents than I'm saving in chlorine (LOL)

Support had me do an OCLT two days ago. 0 loss and 0 CC
My FC in not coming close to my bottom number.

Support has been very nice and went over everything.
I feel with them transferring me from online to email is the start of the return.

What's the max phosphates they are going to allow ?
35 below whatever it says.

Sooooooo close. :ROFLMAO:

Pentair wants 125 or less. They're all probably similar.

*edit. Circupool says less than 100 and pureline doesn't mention it in their manual

*edit edit. Hayward doesn't either and both specifically say you have to maintain the levels outlined in their manual, so IMO they can't claim phosphates after thr fact.
