Official 2022 BBQ, Smoking, Grilling, Baking and Beer thread

I made lobsters in the steam pot on the grill. That kinda counts, right ? :ROFLMAO:

I got a 2 pounder and two 3 pounders for cheaper than it would have cost to go out to dinner, where I certainly wouldn't have been feasting on a 3 pound lobster.

Recteq 700 at 225 for 12 hours with recteq pellets. Darn thing keeps impressing me. Kept temp at 225 dead for 12 hrs.

Did a point. Second time only. First time was a complete experiment. This time I had help from Texas. A buddy helped me out a lot with different tips and tricks. Came out soooooo good! If I can reproduce this everytime I’ll be thrilled. Only thing I couldn’t do was a full rest. I only got in a 90 min cooler rest. Bit let me tell you I don’t know what any longer would have improved. I can’t wait to do another. This time I’ll get up earlier so we aren’t eating at 830. Lol. Ok time to hit the water the fish are calling.

That’s a tasty looking brisket jimim! Brisket is one of my favorite cooks, but now that it’s just my wife and I, I rarely cook them any longer because it’s hard to find a small one. I need to just find a flat, I suppose. July 4 might be an opportunity to get one on the smoker.

Glad to hear you’re enjoying the RecTeq!

Thanks! I've been on the site for awhile but we moved to Texas from Maryland and didn't have a pool anymore... Until now! They're actually starting tomorrow morning. So I'm back!

Anyway... Here's a picture of some of the family favorites.PhotoCollage_20210129_083810255.jpg
