You KNOW the neighbors were not too happy about it!!

Luckily i only have a couple full time neighbors. the side the trucks went down is full time, the one behind us and 1 across the street, the rest live in CA or CAN so not a big nuisance, but i did tell the everyone when they would be there. i talked to most of them throughout the day and you could hardly hear them from across the street and my direct neighbor said they didnt wake him up (must have drank plenty haha).

now we are looking into running a few drains since we have large trenches but im also the type of person to bury everything up and redig the trenches to go exactly where they need to go haha. my patience or lack there of gets the best of me sometimes ha.

Be careful of burying them and digging them up again. My son broke one with a pick axe and now we have to pay to get it replaced 🙄.

i have finally put together a list of equipment for this water containment apparatus....

easytouch psl4 pool/spa control w/screen logic
420sq ft clear & clean cartridge filter
3hp intelliflo vs pump
intellibrite 5g led light (1)
globrite color led (1)
300w transformer
3' natural wonders waterfall sheer (might jump to 4')
pool vacuum
will eventually go to swg system

i think thats about it....well besides the sticker shock of all this haha

💰💸💸

Why are you not getting the Intellicenter? And I'm pretty sure you don't want the Easy Touch with the L in it. That's the light version. Also, Globrites are not recommended on here. We went with Intellibrites but most people get Microbrites.

thanks niki. i am going with the light version because i dont have anything fancy, just 1 return line (4 outputs) and a sheer with the 2 lights, nothing else, so i didnt see the need or extra spend on the fancy version if i dont have anything fancy. there will also be a electrical sub panel on the building where the equipment will sit, so no need for additional few hundred dollars for breaker spot if there is a breaker box inches away. i think i will end up with the microbrite instead of globrite based off the niche part and is still compatible with the easytouch, i just tend to get them confused on which is which haha.

Finally getting somewhere. After almost a month of phone calls looking for a concrete guy, we may have found someone willing to take on the coping and possibly the casita too. Everyone is so busy here they are months out and won't even entertain our job to put on the schedule.

So I was able to backfill 2 weekends ago to cover the pipes up but since then nothing has happened. We picked out some tile and it'll be ordered on Monday. So I found level all the way around and will get the backer board this week while waiting for the tile to get here. Also finally a decision on plaster...I think haha. Originally going with basic white (price and tile) but since we changed tile, we changed changed plaster. We are leaning towards Tahoe Blue but also like Midnight Blue....can I see some pictures to compare the 2 (the online pics vary so much)...

Thanks

Its been awhile but still picking away at it. Starting tile last weekend and have about 15 feet left of waterline before working on the raised beam. Hopefully will have that finished this week and raised beam next weekend. Here are some quick tile pictures to keep some interest going. The sunset adds some color differences but its gray/blackish.
Still looking for some step/shelf markers and debating on full outline or just few cut down every couple feet.

That is looking nice! I say cut the 6x6 to 2x2 making 4 pieces out of each one then turn them on their point like a diamond and space them out a bit to show case them.
thank you. yeah we have been debating on that option. We are leaning towards Tahoe mini pebble and didn't want something to blend in like its not really there. thought about doing just a black tile marker to tile everything together...hopefully. also our plan is to be a bit different than normal, and that is been the norm for 20+ years....so we'll see how this ends up.

What about the glass tile like @TexasRain has? It's black but then pops color in the sun.
Thanks! I have glass tile markers that have a bunch of "pops" of color, I love it, but I almost got one that is like a metallic black that looks cool in the sun too! Here is a link to where I was trying to decide which one to go with. Which Accent Tile?

I think the black Mavericks tiles would look great!

i like that black 1x1 and would look good in 2x strip all the way around. ill have to see if any of my local places have them to take a look at.

thanks

Things have been semi busy around here lately. Trying to find someone to do concrete has been a pain. We finally had someone lined up and he poured the footings for our casita and then went MIA so back to searching. I have done a few things but the project has really slowed down. The sheer was on B/O for 4 weeks and just came in last week. I bought half the fencing because we didn't want to spend all at once...well that backfired, now HD is out of stock and has been for weeks.

So since the pool has basically stopped, we have progressed on the casita. The last 2 Saturdays have been busy and we have busted out the framing. Trusses will be here this week so they will go up next weekend.

Atleast we have some progress but just not on the pool...which is more needed now that temps are just about hitting 100 and its only getting hotter.

Pictures aren't loading right now but hopefully I can figure it out
