I'm Dan and I recently purchased a house in CT with a small in ground pool. I've been using TFP site all spring and summer and many posts and people have helped me immensely considering pool ownership is 100% new to me this year, and I couldn't really rely on having anyone come out to the house to help me with the new pool considering COVID around here. I'm a DIY'er within reason and with help here was able to figure out how to open the pool from the winter as well as the appropriate chemicals and levels for my first season. I tell my wife it's because I'm brilliant, but it's really thanks to this site. I even tackled a few ascorbic acid treatments and found some success for my metal stained fiberglass pool, as well as installed a bypass for the pool filter to isolate the metal issue. I have plenty still to learn but am grateful this community exists as it's helped me tremendously so far and I expect will for many years to come.
