No Gas in Hayward pump

You can disconnect the two wires to the pressure switch and then put a jumper wire between the two of them and see if the unit fires up. Of course if it fires up, then the pressure switch was bad.

Replaced the pressure switch and was finally able to get the heater to fire up and run.. It didn't work right off the bat.. I had adjust the screw underneath the switch to get it to go - I would say maybe a full turn and a half... I was about to throw in the towel.. Then after a couple on and off's of the filter the heater started.. After I had the heater running for about 15 (maybe more) minutes I tried turning the filter and heater off from the remote in the house, but Freeze protection kept it running (Freeze protection was set to 32 or 34 - I forget what is the lowest level)...

I stopped and started the filter a couple of times with the freeze protection still on, removed the "solar thermostate" from the control panel, let it run a bit more and was able to get the freeze protection to stay off... I did notice the heater go to LO then refire back up when I was changing my Jandy valve positions... Is that normal?

Now I have to figure out why my hot tub (that sits a bit above my pool) is draining... I'm assuming the return Jandy Actuator is mis aligned... any thoughts on that?? LOL

thanx for the help / advice..

Unless your pool/spa sits up higher than the heater/equipment, no adjustment needed or should have been made to the pressure switch. I suspect the filter is dirty and needs to be cleaned. So your adjustment to the pressure switch did cause it to come on but under a condition that it shouldn't have.

Yes when the valves are switching water flow can be diminished and that can cause the "LO" error code to come up.

If the spa is draining down when the pump is off, it could be a check valve that is allowing the water to flow back into the pool. Yes it could also be the actuator valve also.

The spa sits either at the same level, or maybe a little above the spa. Will turning adjustment damage the switch? I guess it can be dirty, but I clean the filter twice a year and the last time was right before Christmas. We have a Dolphin pool cleaner which should limit some of the stuff to the filter. I can backwash it and refill DE.. Or clean it too..

With regards to the back flow, If I turn the ingress (Water to the pump) all the way closed the water stays in the hot tub. Is that right? I thought I used to be able to put the switch at a 70/30 or 80/20 before.
