Newbie - First Time Testing w/TF Pro

Tested this morning and passed the OCLT with 1ppm drop. Now do I just let the FC numbers drop back to normal range?

Also I'm leaving town tomorrow for about 5 days. I have someone looking over the house do they need to add chlorine to the pool while I'm gone? I only have a online chlorinator w/pucks that I can turn back on.

I would estimate how much chlorine you lose daily to the sun, then have them pour that amount of liquid chlorine in daily, if possible? Leave the pump running 24/7, if you can and tell them to pour it in a thin stream over a return.

I have been having to add about a gallon of chlorine everyday to maintain my FC levels. My CYA has been high for awhile and I’ve decided to drain the pool to lower the CYA and the amount of chlorine needed to maintain. My last CYA reading was 90 so I guess I need to replace roughly half of the water to get down around 50?

Yes, but unless you are about to start a SLAM Process to remove algae, I wouldn't go any lower than 60. Even a CYA of 70 is fine this time of year if your pool gets full sun. Our sun is HOT and the FC needs that protection. In my ~18K pool, when I was adding liquid chlorine, I kept my CYA in the 60-70 range and added a half gallon of chlorine each afternoon. That was about 2.5 ppm per day for me.
