Hello all So I moves down south to albany ga and got a inground 40x20 pool, but by the time I got down here the pool is very green and gross.

So I started researching and primed the pump started it but don't see a difference after days of running and shocking.

So I researched more and learned that I have to backwash, my psi is 30 atm.
So I turned the handle to backwash than turned the pump on but that didn't see. To make a difference either.
What else can help me clean this pool, companys around here want 1k to clean it which seems crazy.

So i would ask you to post pictures of your entire equipment pad so all can see your plumbing and valve positions.

BTW the photos you have uploaded to this point are difficult to view clearly. Can you save your photos and use ( ATTACH file) rather that a third party site?

I've had the pump going and been shocking it but can't get it any clearer than this. I've tried backwashing.

Have pH at correct level but can't get it any cclear. Do I need to clean filter? It's at 28-30 psi

I see a bag of Quikrete pool sand. That brand is known to have poor quality filter sand. When was this sand added to your pool filter?

I have no idea I just bought the house a month ago and the previous owner disappeared.

So I don't know when Or how long the sand has been In there but I've been. Here in ga for about a week. Pool was off for probably close to 4 months.
