New VS pump installed and now has small bubbles coming out of returns. ASAP fix or do I have some time?

Just had a new variable speed pump installed on my inground pool. 3 hours later and there’s still tiny bubbles coming out of the returns.

The water level is fine and I’m topping it off a little more just in case. No vortex in the skimmer.

The pump basket looks good - no water bubbles at full speed setting and has stayed fully primed the whole time.

It looks like there’s some drops of water coming out from the top pipe fitting that goes to the filter - could this be the culprit? And is this a “fix immediately” or is there some wiggle room for this issue? I leave on a flight at 5am tomorrow so I’m seeing if this is something that can wait, or if I need to call the pool company asap to help fix while I’m gone.

Thanks all!

Air is introduced on the suction side, not pressure side of the pump.

If you turn off the pump, does the system lose prime?

They should have used pump unions on your pump. What they have used is not proper for a pump install.

Thank you for the reply! I had them come back out and install a union. The pump runs great at high speeds but when it switches back to low, it loses some water and I get air bubbles again. Switching back to higher speeds eliminates the air bubbles completely.
