New to Forums - Just signed to build a pool in The Woodlands, TX

Oh wow! That is so exciting! Your pool is going to look amazing when you get home from work. We will need photos! Good work on checking the colour. I wouldn’t pressure clean the trav. Especially so soon after being laid. I’ve heard it’s not so much the stone but the grout that it can destroy. I would also hold off on using any products just yet unless you get the go ahead from Kim’s advisor. You may well find that it comes off with a bit of good rain (not today!) and a couple of good scrub downs.

Doh, so close to bring there. Oh well. I can almost bet that our pebble will happen on a day I’m at work. You will come home to a lovely surprise. Sometimes I find it hard to watch delicate processes like this, so coming home to it all done isn’t all bad assuming they do a good job. I have a camera in the backyard so will check in on them from time to time if I’m not home.

So since they never installed the drain with the pebble for a SECOND time, my choices were bust it out and replace then patch it and reapply the pebble to that area or take $2000 and keep the channel drain that’s there now.

I’ll take the cash as I don’t want to end up with an obvious patch on brand new pebble or compromise the pool structure busting it up for a second time to put the channel with pebble drain in.

Ready for this to be over now...

I’m not sure about the wet patches. Have they dried out yet? What did the pool builder say. That’s crazy that pp had the same plaster company last week! I can’t believe they forgot the channel drain... for the second time. If you can live with it then $2000 is good compensation I would say. How are you feeling about the overall finished plaster!

Where do you think the water is coming from? The water by the main drain I am guessing it is coming from the pipes but the other is what really concerns me.

I am guessing they are going to acid wash the plaster? That should take care of any staining the water may cause.
