[emoji15] Noooooo [emoji31] Ground water? Why was this not happening before everything was turned on then?! Grrrr. Is the pb attempting to fix the problem or is he avoiding it? If he’s avoiding you I would get an independent plumber or leak person in to find the problem. Then you can tell your pb what he needs to fix.
The quote from the PB is “I just want to get all the ground water out of there”. Simply put - there was no wetness near the equipment until they started up the pool 10 days ago. I don’t see how or why this would be ground water when there has been no rain for about 2 weeks.
Yeah, that makes absolutely no sense at all. I find it almost offensive that he would even suggest that, given he’s installed your pool and would know that there was no water there prior to the equipment being turned on. Hopefully he realises soon that that is not going to fly and he needs to get the leak sorted pronto. Pool area looks great though!
That exposed white pipe is from the deck drains and one downspout from the gutters on the house. I’m actually not sure where the overflow goes now that you mention it.
Gotcha - I'm a beginner myself in the 1 1/2 years we've had our pool, so there are far more superior members of this forum that will set you straight.
However, my thoughts....does that water drain towards your equipment area? Seems like that might be the issue. You will want to run that to the street...captain obvious at your service here .
I only assume you've got an overflow and if so, that could be the issue too. Do you have an autofill? Is it constantly running?
I think it’s terribly that pbs don’t typically connect the over flow. Do you think by that is the cause of the water near the equipment pad though? My hubby connected our overflow and French drains to a pit that then feeds into our stormwater (allowed here). I would connect the over flow and downpipes and run them to somewhere - street, stormwater, sewage.
“Ok, I’ll need to do some more digging and find the end. I thought the idea of putting a valve on it came up after your pool. It might of been during your pool. So the decking crew said they have a builder that decided to put valves on the overflow lines before they go into the drains so that when you have a bunch of people in the pool or kids jumping and splashing you don’t have water loss and then the auto fill always running and diluting the pool chems. I thought that was a great idea a told her to do all mine the same. So the overflow line should be near that area waiting for a valve and T. I’ll get it found, sorry about that I thought that idea came after yours.”
After he wrote that I dug up the end that was covered.
Good question - the PB is going to finish this issue. Lots of checking behind I have learned with building a pool.
I still like the PB even though there have been mistakes. Anytime something not right has been pointed out by me, they have fixed it pretty quick. Except the pebble main drain goof up, but I am ok with $2300 extra i my pocket for that mistake.
