I found a WiFi enabled outdoor timer with two independent circuits, and it runs on 240vac so I don't have to have a neutral in the box anymore. I got the Suraielec WiFi Pool Timer and installed it today replacing the old big wheel Intermatic switch. I wired it so the relay feeding the SWG isn't powered unless the pump is also powered. I can turn the SWG off while keeping the pump running, manually, remotely, and by schedule. I've set the SWG to turn on 3 minutes after the pump starts because occassionally it loses prime and needs a few seconds to get happy. Why test fate with only the flow switch. Anyway, I will update as time passes to report on reliability, but I really like the scheduling.

For anyone wanting to use the device above note that its rated for a maximum 2HP motor. And that may be optimistic. Using this to switch larger HP pool pumps can burn up the relay contacts.

I have the same one but on 4 separate occasions it went Offline and was not able to control the pump. Once it was while I was away on vacation for 4 days I had no pump running. All of my other Wi-Fi enabled devices did not go offline so it’s not my network that is the issue. Hope you don’t experience this.

Thanks jgofnj, I'm going to keep an eye on that. So far it has been working as expected. The only negative I've faced is the door gasket isn't retained in any way. I resolved that after it fell in the dirt the second time with a bit of pool lube.
