new pump recommendation wanted

A two speed motor would be something to consider. It will reduce your electrical cost. The wild card is if the flow rate on low speed will be enough for your heater. Hard to predict that.

Your pool does not need a 2 hp pump. Now if you get a Variable speed pump, you get the best of all worlds as you can dial in the rate needed to operate the heater, etc. But VS pumps are more expensive.

Stand alone pumps (not ties to an automation system) can be from any manufacturer. You have the big companies, Pentair, Hayward, etc, that must be installed by a dealer/professional to get the full warranty. You have InyoPools, Circupool, etc that have quality pumps and provide more generous DIY warranties. Your current pump is a Waterway pump. InyoPools markets those and I believe have replacement motors, even two speeds, that will mate up with your current wet end. Call them.
