Dig will start this month. Thoughts on the following:

-salt water vs chlorine (maintenance and cost)
-east oak tree about 3.5 feet from coping. Remove or keep? (Beyond the falling of leave issue). Builder thinks no issue but
I am worried about the roots.
-waterline: ceramic tile bs glass tile. Which last longer and easier to maintain?
- fountain wall: one large 5ft one or 2 smaller ones fountains? 18in vs 12 in height wall thoughts?

Welcome to TFP.

A SWG is the lowest cost and least maintenance way of chlorinating a pool.

Large format ceramic tiles have the least grout lines to maintain and the easiest keep clean.

Welcome to TFP!

SWG is the way to go.
We recommend a SWG that is rated for at least 2x your pool volume.

Do you have hard water? If so, a water softener plumbed to the autofill will help keep your CH from rising beyond recommended target levels.

Post a complete list of proposed equipment, including manufacturers and model numbers.
