New Pool + Cabana + Putting Green - Lucas, TX

You can and should have liquid chlorine on hand to help the SWG as needed. You will need to use liquid chlorine for the first 30 days as you do not add salt until then so cannot use the SWG.

I bet it was nice to see some work being done! Here is hoping a bunch more work gets done soon!

My pool is 16k gallons and I went thru about 1/2 gallon a day for the first month. Stock up when you get close. Home Depot is convenient and Walmart sells some in milk gallon jugs that is cheap. I also went thru 2 cups of acid a day.

i keep telling all you guys. flickr. it's so easy! 2 TB of space free!!

ya and become a member! :)

I've had a Flickr account for 10 years, but I don't see a way to generate an embed code from the mobile app.

On the membership, I have no issue joining. But is there really enough storage capacity / bandwidth to support a build thread like this with hundreds of pics?? 20mb doesn't seem like it will last very long.

One other thing, if you find a place to host your photos, it would be great if you could have the original design pics back in the thread. I am following because you are in the DFW area and we too are looking to do a pool and cabana. I'd like to see what your were being offered at the prices you stated in the beginning of the thread. We had 4 builders come out on Friday. I expect designs within a week or so.

If reposting the pics is too much, you could PM them to me.

i don't do much like that on a mobile device cause the screen is small and there is no trackpad. i'm a hard button kinda guy still for computers. on computers it is very easy.

i'll play wit hthe app more. i only use it to show people pics vs keepign them on my phone.

Lots of progress on the pool. Unfortunately, I'm still struggling to post pics. I've tried but failed to post using Imgur.

Back to the drawing board.

I'm using Imgur now; just use the BBCode. Sometimes you see it to the right of the picture you are looking at once you've uploaded photos. If not, hover over the picture and select the down arrow in the upper right corner and select "get share links" and then you'll see it. Either way, select the Copy button right next to the BBCode and paste into your post.

The flagstone on the tanning ledge looks great. What type of deck did you go with? It looks like salt but I cant tell from the picture.

The decking is stamped concrete. The PB calls it "textured" concrete because it's not a fixed pattern. We are NOT sealing it because we don't want a glossy look and don't want it to be slippery. The intent is for it to have a matte finish.

Here's a video showing the stamping in process

Here are a few close up pics of it after some rain, before they added the expansion joint
