New Pool Build Pearland, TX (Houston area)

Yes! Tile, coping waterfall, and decking done! Today marks two weeks since they broke ground! Our builder says we could be filling the pool up with water by Saturday! I honestly can't believe it's moving so fast!

Oh wow you are right they are similar. Did they schedule your tile and coping? No date for ours yet, but we were told maybe this week or next...[/QUOTE]

Cool, yours is moving nice and fast. Ours is right behind. PB thinks plaster on Monday.

Those colors look so good together! Can't wait to see it finished!

Thank you. It is amazing how different the spa glass tile looks installed. Wait may be over next week!

Hi,

I'm also in Pearland. Can you please pm me the builders you talked to and the one you signed with?

Oops forgot to PM the ones we didn't use.

So Tuesday wasn't a quiet day, the patio and electrician crew were out working on the covered patio. We also had the deck poured on Wednesday. This week was a whirlwind with workers, family birthday, and our beloved furbaby's last day. Through it all we forgot all about the umbrella sleeves in the deck. When we got back from the vet on Wednesday they were smoothing out the concrete and I remembered about the umbrella sleeves, but I didn't feel like dealing with it.

This is our Scout when we first brought her home from the animal shelter almost 14 years ago. I was so hoping she would be able to enjoy the pool with us, she so loved to romp in the water. We are devastated by our loss, but trying to get through it.

Concrete deck is done (spray deck coating will be after plaster), patio will be finished today, and the rock waterfall crew is here. PB wants to plaster on Monday (weather permitting). Heading out to take a look at Quartzscape Blue and Tahoe Blue pools today to make a final decision.

I will ask! They have been excellent to work with...no high pressure upselling. They are in Tomball and have shared that they like to stay on the Northwast side because they like to be onsite everyday the subs are there.

What a beautiful pup! So sorry!

So sorry about sweet Scout. He sure was a beautiful boy and he looks just like that puppy picture now as he plays on the rainbow bridge. We lost our sweet Digit after 14 years and I know exactly how hard it is. Praying for your family as you grieve and adjust. RIP Scout.

Thank you everyone. I wish they lived longer. It is always so hard to lose them so fast.

Patio and waterfall crew were rained out late today. It was a pretty bad thunder and ligtning storm that just hung over Pearland for a while. Our friend on the East side said they got olive size pieces of hail.. We hope the workers come back tomorrow.

A friend of mine said she got caught in a giant hail storm at 290/Beltway that seemed like it came out of nowhere. Especially when at 290/Grand Parkway it was beautiful. We've definitely had odd weather lately. Hoping they're there today!

Patio crew finished a lot today, but I guess the rock crew doesn't work on Saturdays. Photo is what they finished on Friday. Lots of rain expected this week, so I don't know what will be done. PB had wanted to plaster.

Time to order a test kit. We are doing salt water, so if I get the TF-100 do I need anything else?
