New Pool Build in Apache Junction AZ

That is such an incredible back yard. I really like the shape of the pool....made for entertaining. The travertine is coming along nicely. I've been watching them do a neighbors pool and I can't believe how slow the travertine seems to go down...

Thanks Jay!
The work prior to laying down the tile takes a while but they hammered out a big section one day when there were 3 of them. All the cuts take so much time.

Don, are you next door to a restaurant, or did your neighbors install commercial exhaust hoods in their kitchen? I can see 2 of them on the roof next door in one of your pictures.
Rob, too funny, I was wondering the same when I moved in. All his pool equipment is in that room including a heater for the outdoor shower, it goes a few feet to the left of the door. There's an apartment there for when his parents visit and that massive negative edge pool, It's about 2.5 times the size of my pool :eek:pool.JPG

Yes party as soon as we get back to normal AZ temps :)

I had better get my test kit on order, I've never been though a start up, any tips you can give will be helpful.

I know to check the meter before filling and put a sock on the hose.

Don...i am really hoping you are going to post pictures of the snow covered Superstitions from your backyard/pool view...they looked amazing from afar and I’m sure you would have gotten some pictures of you enjoying your spa with that background...if it was ready, darn! Haha.

jonpcar,, I was still working on the yard. I had another 15 tons of screened gravel and managed to get about 4 wheelbarrowed out before I got rained out. It was a mudpit so we burned a bunch of brush some mesquite.

The snow was awesome and I wish I had it filled to sit from the spa.. Pretty thick when I got home Thursday after work and nice to see it with snow.

Well the inspection was a breeze, he was mostly concerned with wiring in the panel and lights in the pool and spa. I had my door handles raised to 55" and had spring hinges installed. He saw one worked and I asked if he needed to see the other but said no you're good. I can see a spring on the gate over there so that's good too.

Finish will go on tomorrow..

Great Pics Don! I'd say they are worth framing!

The guy that came and installed the closers for my sliding doors showed me how to put the springs on the gates. Only took me 5 minutes and saved about $110. I just got the springs for my garage door so I'll do that this weekend. Still cost me almost $1k for two sliders and one regular door that I couldn't' move up to 55". Seems like a racket....

Ouch,, that's quite the hit.. My doors look funny with 2 deadbolts but I'll be happy with extra security,, or at least that's what I tell myself..

Thanks for the picture comments. I need to get this done for March 23, I''ll be hosting a few other artist for the "Artist of the Superstitions Studio Tours" The fall is typically our bigger show with over 20 studio's and over 80 Artists. The group is testing out Spring tours and we had 16 houses that will be hosting artists.
