New IG Pool Build in Mesa Arizona

On Tuesday the final plumbing was completed. The in-floor cleaning system, spa dummy jets (the real ones are done by the startup crew), returns and skimmer. He also applied silicone sealant to all the plumbing in the side wall and the two LED fixtures.

Note the "hand holds" in this photo.

This morning the plaster crew showed up.

The first coat looks pretty rough.......

But with some troweling and the first water rinse things are looking up.

That went on for about an hour and a half. Here is the finished product.

Very happy with the outcome. Tomorrow they return to acid wash the finish and start the hose. Some 24 - 31 hours later she should be full of H2O.

What color did you go with?

The Shasta Sand is called Sarasota White. ( I had Clearwater White in my signature but that doesn't exist:oops:)

Here are some "after acid wash" and pool filling photos. I think the acid wash made some difference, removed haze and dust, but not an OMG moment.

Filled Spa.

Only three inches to go. :bounce:

Here is a close up of the Shasta Sand bits that were left in the dirt. Blue and white rock chips. We'll see if it's rough.
