Once fully dissolved you should be able to test in 24 hours. Or 48 hours if you want to be very sure.

You can usually test CYA the next day (24 hours). I’d suggest waiting until Monday afternoon since it will be sunny. Overcast days can make it more difficult.

Did you change the poolmath bleach strength percentage?

Yup I sure did change the strength. That’s how I got 60oz to get to 12 from 8.5. It makes me now think that maybe I have the pool size wrong.
If you use the old poolmath page, you can enter your pools diameter and actual water depth (not wall height), to see the difference.
Yep, I tried that. But I went out and used my Skimmer pool to get to about the middle of the pool and it was about 12 feet. So maybe it’s not the pool size. Lol
If the chlorine is extra fresh it could be stronger. I know my chlorine comes to the tank at around 15% BUT is stated to be 11% as they error on the low side.

And here’s today’s picture. Don’t notice too much of a difference today from yesterday. Maybe see the liner a little further down on the pool wall.

Now is when it gets harder.....it is about as blue as it going to get. NOW is when you look at the brush or such at the bottom of the pool or the steps. Day by day you should see it clearer and better. That will be your sanity check LOL

Picture of today...getting more clear down the side of the pool, and can see the pool Rover jr in the middle of the pool for the first time. It’s a deeper blue than yesterday.

In the evenings OR on the weekend when you can babysit, you can speed up the clearing process by adding DE to the sand filter
This makes the pressure climb fast, so it cannot be left alone (especially with a pool that is not clear)
Add DE to a Sand Filter
A clean pool filter will increase the efficiency of your pool! ... your filter are to backwash it, clean the manifolds and grids, and add new DE.

Here’s today’s picture. Just see a little more clear down the side. I think I can faintly start to make out the patter on the liner towards the bottom by the side of the pool.
I might try the DE this weekend. Looks like I will need very little to get it to raise the pressure and from what I can see it’s only sold in 25lb bags. How long does unused DE last?
