New build in Spring, TX.

Jan. 28th - Dig
Jan. 29th - Steel and plumbing "stub-out"
Jan. 30th - Gunite and “DONT TOUCH THE POOL KIDS!”
Jan. 31st - early clean up, you can touch it now, began digging and laying some pipe
Feb. 1st - Plumbing, gas lines, conduit
Feb. 3rd - Most boring Super Bowl ever, glad I was working.
Feb. 4th - 6th - Coping/Stone/Tile
Feb. 12th - 13th - Clean-up/Deck-Prep
Feb. 16th - Deck concrete poured
***Rain***
Feb. 25th - Plaster
Feb. 26th - Fill
Feb. 28th - March 1st - Deck Paver..."inserts"?

I still don't know what to call them? Maybe mini-paths? But paver guy did great. When he showed up and PB was showing him all the cuts he had to make and bring them up to level with concrete he looked overwhelmed and maybe confused. Turns out maybe he was just tired that day because he seemed to know what he was doing! All they need to do, on a dry day, is add polymeric sand to fill in the gaps.

Items to go...
-Pavers
-Spray Deck
-Safety Fence
-Fire Bowls
-Move more dirt (my job, and getting old quick because of mushy yard). Finally went to a section of neighborhood where houses are being built and got some scrap wood to make a path to balance the wheel-barrow on. So much easier
-Jumping rock (why do I feel like this is going to get skipped haha, not in our contract but PB said he'd do it)
-Brush every day
-Keep testing water

Side note...anyone know what kind of tree/shrub this is?! Saw it at Pappasito's, they have awesome landscaping. I don't think it's a crape myrtle, at least not one I'm familiar with.

Got some plumerias from @jtburf this week and ready to get them in the ground! I think I'm supposed to wait another week or so?

Still waiting on spray deck to be completed. Concrete guys got super backed up with the off and on rain the past few weeks and this phase isn't exactly as lucrative as pouring the actual concrete...so I think we are on the back-burner for this one.

All the holes are drilled in the concrete or pavers for the safety fence, just need to pour a couple more out in the yard for the ends. Waiting for spray-deck guys to show up and will set the sleeves for the fence posts. Got some ideas, but having them all be level will be..."fun"...

Got a picture of the pool in the sun finally and we are extremely happy with the color. WetEdge Tahoe with shell.

Got some pallets of sod and landscaping rock delivered today...that rock aint cheap guys, good gravy.

I do have a question. I've brought this up before, and it's becoming more visible as things progress. The gap between the coping and deck actually doesn't look bad. We decided to make the call after they do the spray deck. But considering doing some deck-o-seal or even the polymeric sand like they did in between the pavers...anyone have any pros and cons for either?

Pool looks great!!! I really like the way your accent pavers turned out. I wish I would’ve thought of doing something like that in our pool. It breaks up the monotony of spray deck while adding some visual appeal.

I say do the sand and see how that goes. It will be MUCH easier to fix or undo if wanted or needed.

That plaster looks awesome! There is a thread that just got started to show off plaster colors. When I get home I will link you to it show you can put that pretty pool in it!

Thank you all. Haha, the boys were well rested and ready to play once we got to your house...there is no doubt about that!

Thank you again for the plants and I'll probably take care of that tonight if I have everything I need to plant them and keep them well drained...

Thanks @kimkats for colors, will look out for it.

@Jbrillo , we are real happy with how the pavers turned out. PB kept talking about the idea but was hard to see because we had never really seen it before. Glad we trusted him.

Ended up laying a pallet of sod last night after some family left. Snoozed my alarm and barely made it to work today!

We've been hookin it pretty good the past few days and had little to no time to take pictures and upload. I've been trying to make it a point to take pictures during and after projects, but I've always been pretty bad at it. We always say we will try and document it better so we can have great before and after pictures but it's still and work in progress haha.

Sure the landscaping is taking a while since we are doing it ourselves but we love it. And the fact we can say we did all of it is satisfying too.

Still waiting for the spray deck to get done. That's holding us up from a few things but there is plenty of other stuff to do!

We have another flower/tree bed we are going to build but need to have a few more yards of dirt delivered along with some mulch for the whole yard.

Also ready to set up some plumerias that I'm considering pretty fragile. Saved them for last since I didn't want to bump in to one with all the moving around. Haven't forgotten about you @jtburf !

This is how I felt after moving those trees!

Two thirty gallon trees that I took out of planter, beat the dirt off of them, lifted in to wagon and pulled across yard. Someone should have gotten it on video, probably funny to watch and hear me grunting around.
