Amy, after 4 attacks and a final trip to the ER, I had mine out in 2011. The night of my surgery, I am upstairs recovering, and my mom comes crawling up the stairs in dire pain and vomiting. We figured food poisoning. Next week, same thing. Turns out she had gall bladder attacks starting the day mine came out, and a month later the same surgeon took hers out! Talk about sympathy pain! Then a few months later, my aunt has attacks and had to have hers out! Gall bladder pain is no joke either. I find I am doing similar things as I did with the gall bladder and am pressing on my face and jaw, trying to find a position that lessens the pain a little.
But yes I agree, totally hyper focused. I am at peace with it and focusing on the big picture. And heck, once that travertine goes down and the pool is filled, no one, not even me, is going to be staring at the back of the wall!
