Hi I'm new here and raising grand kids I have about 4 yrs left and we've been trying to get out 15' x 48" round and we have a 0.18 horse sand pump and we just can't seem to get our pool to clear up it staying cloudy, it was turning green but we used a package of shock treatment and got that cleared but it staying cloudy and we have to backwash everyday and so.... we need help please

One of the foundations of TFP is the ability to test your water. Pool store testing is notoriously wrong, and so is there advice (ask me how I know...I am PoolStored after all). Get a good test kit, order it now. Link-->Test Kits Compared
Add 3ppm of liquid chlorine a day. That is about 3 cups for your pool size. Do this until your kit arrives. Add nothing else.
When the kit comes, then we will likely follow this process...Link-->SLAM Process
Print it out, read it three time and get ready!
