Need recomendation for a Timer

Newbe here and the pool should be installed next week
Curious as to what type of timer I should purchase for the pump.
I went to one of the Box stores today and there was nothing.
any help would be appreciated.

I bought mine from Home Depot. Its just an outdoor timer that has a little door thing on it that opens and closes.

the famous ones are made by intermatic. I use a tightwatt. www.tightwatt.com

Intermatic timers suitable for pools are often sold in the box stores (HD and Lowes) as hot water heater timers. The only thing relevant is the voltage and amp ratings. If you have a 220V pump, your timer needs to be 220V and an Amp rating that matches or exceeds your pump. Many pool stores sell the same timers as well.
