Have a new balance 9 getting ready to fill for the first time. Question do i needmtonadd chemical and if so what or is the eco pur charge sufficient?

The eco pur is just filters & ions which are not sufficient for sanitation of the water alone.

We also suggest that all new tubs be purged with Ahhsome as biofilms can form in the plumbing while it is in transit to you since they are wet tested at the factory.
Failing to remove these biofilms can set you up for excess chlorine demand right out of the gate.
