Di-chlor or non-chlorine shock after each spa use?

I have a Hydropool swim spa and I’m going to try the “Angi method” to sanitizing.

The Angi method was created by someone who has and sells Master Spas swim spas.

The Angi method is this:
-Add di-chlor to bring spa chlorine levels up to 1-3 ppm
-After each use, add non-chlorine shock
-Add di-chlor once a week to maintain 1-3 ppm

I guess they say this only works in Master Spas because of their special “Eco Pure” filter system.

Any non-Master Spa owners have good success with this method?

I’m wanting to switch to this method to keep my CYA levels down since it requires less chlorine.

Using dichlor long term once a week is going to skyrocket your CYA levels too.

Using DiChlor that frequently is going to make your CYA go way up
Using sanitized that infrequently is going to make your bacteria / algae levels go way up
Using MPS that frequently MAY cause an allergic reaction in some people

Angi is just a recipe for disaster. the Eco Pur system is just a mineral cartage. You still need a sanitizer.
