I’ve been out of town since earlier this month and got around to testing my FC today. It was at 21.5ppm. The last time I tested it, it had been stable for a month or two at ~12ppm.

My question is, water temp was around the low 80s/high 70s when it was stable at 12ppm. With the water temp now being in the low 60s, is there less chlorine demand and I should be adusting my SWG % lower when the water gets colder to keep around 12ppm?

Yes, you should be lowering your SWG % as the season changes and the suns angle gets lower which reduces your daily chlorine loss.

FYI - my high season, I was running mine at 60%. A little over a week ago, I only had to run it at 10%. Water temp got to 49 this past weekend, and the cell stopped generating, so the pool is now closed for the winter. But the level is mostly about sunlight, rather than water temp.

+1. It was real warm the last couple days, even low 80s yesterday. But my FC loss is much less than with similar temps mid season with the lower sun angle and shorter days now.
