Anyone know an easy fix to get the liner back in the track? I had the pool company here before for this and they were here like 10 minutes. I didn’t see what they did to fix it though.

What is the stain from? Is there a run off problem in that area? I find it odd that its in the same spot as the liner trouble.

So our pool is salt water and we have an “Everlast” basketball hoop above that area that when the kids shoot baskets water drips down. I am planning on taking care of that when we close as well.

Thanks a lot dr sipe. Your in Middletown? I am in Lancaster. This is my first year closing my pool by myself.
dr are my initials,,,,, not a Dr., I've gotten that a lot.

Good for you in closing your pool yourself, I've been taking care of my pool ever since it was installed 18 years ago. My pool was built by Crystal Pools and I had chosen them because the piping they use can freeze with water in them without causing damage, so I don't drain or blow out lines, which makes closing very simple.

I help my brother-in-law close his pool and his piping is all PVC, so we drain to below his jets and blow out all the lines.

If you follow the instructions available here for closing your pool, you won't go wrong. I've been using the TFP method for the past 3 years and for the past 3 years I've had zero algae issues, and the water looks amazing.

BTW, I've used a heat gun a few time on my brother-in-laws pool to warm the liner to get his liner back in track, the best advise I can give is warm the liner in the area of the gap and six inches past on either side, then gently massage the liner up till you can get it back into the track. If you don't have a heat gun you could use a hair dryer or hot water, but at this time of the year in PA, you need tome type of heat to warm the liner before you try to get it back into the track.
