Now is the time to make sure it is to plans. Make sure you measure WATER depth-from the bottom of the pool to the middle of the skimmer opening. Some do it from the bottom to the coping. If doing that way you could lose a few inches of water depth.

Add about 6" for the steel, shell, and plaster.
