See pics. Running 24/7 at 20-25% been keeping my csi in slightly neg area. Should I acid wash? Also surprised to build up in pipe.

No just saw scale on a couple plates and in PVC.

That is not significant. Do not use acid. Use a plastic knife to scrape out if you wish.

Be aware that each time you use acid to clean the cell plates you shorten the lifespan of the device.

I always thought that acid cleaning was a requirement upon closing.

There is no requirement to acid clean a SWCG. Mine (both the previous and current) have never been cleaned with acid.

Thanks, maybe that's why my first cell did not last that long. Seems like Hayward recommends this in order to sell new cells!
