I would imagine. Check to see if it says Fabric Protection, Splashless, Scented, etc. Those are not OK.

Check the garden section for HDX Liquid Chlorine.

Not pure Sodium Hypochlorite and not the best for long term use in your pool.

It lists detergent additives in the bleach in addition to the chlorine. The detergents can cause foaming in your pool water.

This is much better to use in pools...

Unfortunately its not available anywhere near me. Home depots are out of stock. The laundry bleach is the only one they have that isn't splashless, etc.

What is your CH? You might be able to use Cal Hypo.

I would use it one time in a pinch for closing. The detergents will break down over the winter. It is only about 6% chlorine.
