Is that Algae?

Testing at 5:30 pm EDT and I was at FC 26.5 so I added 18oz of chlorine. When I test in the dark tonight, should I add again and wait 30mins and then test again for the overnight test?

I’m at FC 28, keep adding to 31? And wait again 20mins and test again?

I added 18oz and I only went up .5ppm?? Why, how? I followed pool math…

This is getting really frustrating, especially when my pool is looking perfect.

Weird. I doubt you lost 3.7 ppm in 20 mins, in the dark, with such clear water. I can't say what's up, but it's weird.

Let it ride and use the last test result for the OCLT.

Added 12oz more and I am now JUST at 28.5....when I'm supposed to hit 31. What in the world is going on?? I'm done for tonight...let's see what it's at before sunrise...

It’s my third bottle :) highly doubt they were bad.
They have date codes on them- the older they are the weaker they are or maybe some were stored in the heat/sun? No biggie just compensate from here on out when dosing from that bottle.

Your day time losses weren’t too terrible so I am optimistic for your oclt 👍🏻 🤞

@Mdragger88 @Newdude Morning guys!

Test from this morning: FC 30.

So I'm up from 1.5ppm from the last test I took last night!

Also, that dust from the video I sent, or whatever it is, I saw less this morning. Just a little bit. The water is perfectly clear.

Pretty! I beleive it's reccomended to put those pool toys in at slam level for at leaset an hour to remove any algae that may be on them.
Thanks! My FC was down to 26 from this morning so I added chlorine and added all the floats in the pool for a couple of hours!

Check your thermometer 🌡️ & scrub him if need be. Maybe force him to submerge in the slam level water a little while.
Things that float on the water but still get water in them can get some funky stuff on the inside. I once had growth inside the top of my puck floater! Crazy right? I have also failed an OCLT for like a week because I didn’t remove a blinky diver toy- turned out it was green inside! I know you’ve redone your plumbing since changing equipment around but do a quick check of the ribs in all the hoses too.

Ok, I'll clean that out but it's brand new. Just checked plumbing and it looks good.
Anymore of the stuff in the video? Has it changed color?

Very little this morning and it's always a dark color, not a green or mustard color.

Great about the pool stuffs 👍🏻
Just wondering if the “debris” turned grey or white. If not it’s probably just stuff that’s falling in the pool.
