Intellivalve RS485 protocol

Does anyone have any documentation on the RS485 commands supported for the Intellivalve?

It was never fully developed. It has been years and my guess it will never be done.

At present, the IntelliValve works just like any valve actuator.

I have done a large amount of testing to attempt to get to the IntelliValve to bow to my commands. In the end after bricking a few of them, I believe that the firmware currently installed on the valve does not have the programming to set the endpoints and the commands that we did uncover actually set the valve up to receive firmware. There are some messages that do come from the IntelliValve but they are of no use. There is a sequence to address the valve and disable the control panel but that is as far as it goes.

There is an abandoned git repo that contains the research and a conversation related to what we see on the valve firmware. I do not recommend running it against your valve because the 245 and 247 messages send it into programming mode.

Just in case anyone searches this, there is now a project underway to create custom firmware for these valves to allow setting end points as desired. Still early days but promising!
